  What Do You Do for Work / Career?

  i've been on the board for quite a while now and was wondering, what do my fellow jwdr's do for work, employment or career?

  me, i'm in probably one of the most hated careers in america right now.

  (not gonna tell you what it is either) but how about you, what do you do to earn a little coin?.

  I work offshore all over the world mending tectonic plates. It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

  We cut our electricity bill in half

  we did it by reducing television and air conditioner usage, being more conservative about using the oven, getting rid of an old freezer, and changing our light bulbs.

  Just got my bill yesterday. $285 but I was actually expecting closer to $400. Gotta have a/c but even at that it's not really cool enough for me. Need new ductwork and I need to check into the radiant barrier I keep hearing about. Had the A/C checked a couple of weeks ago and the tech's thermometer showed it to be 146 degrees in my attic - and that was before noon! I've gotta do something to get the light bill down some which means I have a lot of work to do...when the weather cools down!

  another topic talking about the dubs fear of armageddon reminded me of a pretty scary dream i had as a dub:.

  i was in a doctor's office waiting to be called in (i know, that's scary enough!

  ), and there were windows along one wall floor to ceiling.

  Not my crazy dream but that of my brother. He told me today that last night he dreamed he was becoming a werewolf and he thinks he was howling in his sleep! Must be all the talk of the moon lately...lunar eclipse and Mars as big as etc. But I can just picture neighbors waking up to hear the woofman next door! lol

  i could make comments about her being a dumb blonde but i won't, do to the fact that my own daughter is blonde, pretty, and intellegent.

  but this girl and her school system where she supposedly got an education should be ashamed.

  if this were my daughter or one of my students..........i would hang my head!

  Her school system? Is that anywhere near our solar system? You know, the solar system in our U.S. America. Or maybe she was home skooled.

  Going to try to catch a glimpse. I've only seen one total lunar eclipse and it was a cool thing to see.

  GRRRR - Swollen Knuckles.

  recently i told you guys about my bipolar, well today i lost it big time.. having an arguement with megans mum and in the middle of it, she says 'dont you feel ashamed not working and living off the state' and that 'bipolar wasnt an excuse really'.. then a moment later cos i shot her down on that (since she doesnt know about bipolar) she says that if its so bad i should be f****** sectioned.

  at that point i said to her if she spoke another word it was likely my fist would end up in her mouth (just talk but i felt like it) and then i was pushed to far, so i hit the door.

  the door is solid, i would like to confirm to everyone that this door does not have a soft center, i hit it so damn hard, i had to vent somehow - my knuckles are swollen.. the arguement ended and its dealt with, she said megan was making up claims of her stepdad abusing her now he is dead, because she wants her mum to love him less wtf?.

  Not trying to be funny here but this made me remember a book-study conductor ages ago. I was little and didn't think anything of it at the time but their house had all these little mirrors on doors and walls etc. Pretty randomly placed too. Found out later that under all those mirrors were holes where the guy would put his fist through. So I guess after some well placed punches a little fashion sense can spiff it all up.

  there is no kroger store now on east broadway in north little rock, arkansas.

  it was demolished to make way for the new alltell arena.

  the fifty-yard line, that black night club, is also gone and the pawn shop that was next to it.

  i just came home from picking up my baby from school, and i see a brand new sign posted 4 doors from my house.. "building permit.

  issued for the construction of a new kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses".. i just can't seem to get away from them..

  CoCo...I think you win. That's like crazy crazy. I'd sure like to hear "the meaning" of that one.
  
  exwitless...I used to have similar dreams of an army invading but it was just regular army not souped up out of this world storm troopers. I'll bet most dubs have had similar dreams at some time. Most assuredly little kids have.

  TMS, Levy is in fact where my aunt lives. I remember going to that WalMart but it's been about 5 years since I was in AR. And also Burns Park is the location of that particular bridge...or at least was. Things change. Last time I was there a professional photographer was shooting some kids in front of the bridge and had the best angles so I got nothing!
  
  I think another reason that I have mixed emotions about that area is that it seems like the only time any of us made the trip was for a funeral. But I haven't gone even for the last two of those sadly.
  You guys have me reminiscing tonight. Not necessarily a bad thing though.
